Lesson 1: Possessed by Darkness

September 19, 2013 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Pacific / 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Eastern

Evil exists. How will you recognize evil when you are confronted by it? How can you protect yourself? What makes someone susceptible to being possessed? These questions and many more will be answered in this pivotal event. The greater the light, the happier and healthier we are. Learn what to do to transform your inner darkness into light and to be strong and healthy.

Homework for week 1:

Please light a tall candle, place it 3 or 4 feet in front of you so the flame is at about the height of your eyes. Sit comfortably and breathe slowly and deeply while keeping your gaze steady on the flame. Ignore your thoughts, just gently allowing them to come and go. Imagine the flame is entering your body through your eyes and illuminating your inner being, your very soul. When your eyes start to water, close them gently and continue to see the flame with eyes closed as long as possible, then open them again when your eyes are comfortable. Try this for about 5 minutes. Remember, bring the light into you, don’t send yourself out to the light. Just use your intentionality to draw the light to you.

Enjoy!

Lesson 2: Madman or Creative Genius?

September 26, 2013 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Pacific / 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Eastern

There is a fine line between geniuses like James Joyce, Beethoven, and Einstein and those who have gone off the deep end into darkness. Why do one out of three people around the world (and almost half of all Americans) suffer from some kind of mental disturbances—from depression to bi-polar schizophrenia? Learn why some people can open fully to the light and experience spiritual ecstasy while others go mad and how to be sure you remain safe.

Homework for week 2:

Darkness Meditation

Sit comfortably in a room at night with no light coming from outside or inside the room. Turn off any electronics so there are no interruptions. Close your eyes, breathe gently and relax as you sit in the total darkness. Place a bubble of protection around yourself, then allow your fears to come to the surface of your mind. What can come to you out of the darkness? Feel the traumas of your past—a failing, a betrayal, a loss. Can you see yourself with compassion for having suffered, or have you not yet healed those traumas and are fearful that more bad things await you in the future? Now reach up above you to draw down a ball of white/golden light that sits above your head—the light of your Higher Self. Like turning on a light in the dark room, your fears evaporate in the light of your connection to Spirit. Welcome the darkness as the place where you have been nurtured in the Divine Mother’s womb. Now you can grow in the light. Open your eyes and take another deep breath and come back to the room.

Lesson 3: Near-Death Experiences

October 3, 2013 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Pacific / 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Eastern

Near-death experiences (NDEs) have been historically downplayed by the main-stream. But recently, a number of highly respected scientists have had their own experiences, and they are telling a different story. What do NDEs, as well as experiences of the light in meditation and through other spiritual practices, show us? Learn what spiritual seekers actually mean by “living in the light,” and why you want to get there. Learn how to speak to others about the light of higher consciousness without sounding like a space cadet.

Homework for week 3:

You can live more in the light without almost dying or having an intense meditation experience. Simply spend a day directing kindness to everyone you meet, even those just passing by. You can use the classic lines from the Metta meditation: May you be happy. May you be peaceful. May you live with ease of heart. You can roll your cart through the supermarket thinking about each person you see, “May you be happy,” and see what your mood is when you leave the store. Direct the same thought to each car you pass (or that passes you). Think it about your partner, your boss, your kids, your mother-in-law, even that one person that really annoys you.

Lesson 4: Being Strong, Healthy, and in the Light

October 10, 2013 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Pacific / 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Eastern

We are all a combination of darkness and light. The places of darkness within us can block the light and wreak havoc on our relationships, health, finances, and every other aspect of life. Learn how to stay in the light and how to share these transformational techniques with others.

Homework for Week Four: Light & Dark Balance Sheet

Divide a sheet of paper in half length-wise and write Light on one side and dark on the other. Think about the qualities you possess and your behaviors and write each one on the appropriate side. Do you have a food addiction? That goes on the dark side. Are you helpful to your ex? That’s on the side of the light. When you’re done, look at the balance of light and dark in your life. Use the Violet Flame of Transmutation to shift the items you listed on the dark side over to the light.
